Trevose Golf and Country Club
Well, after what has been another indifferent week weather wise, we seem to have turned the corner with a decent spell of dry conditions on the way. Although it may be a little cold, this certainly helps to dry the course out and get you members out and about. Talking of getting out and about, while you are taking the time to read this email I will have dusted off the golf clubs for the second time in little over a week and be bashing that little white ball around Trevose Golf & Country Club. Hopefully I can hole a few putts for a change.
Spring Workshop
Following the Foremost Spring Workshop last week, I have David Murch, the South West's Business Manager, coming to visit next week. We're going to have a chat about various ideas to help promote the club and take the Pro business forward in 2017. Also involved will be my Shop Assistant, Rob who will be listening with interest, since I shall be away this season with my role of West Region PGA Captain starting in little over a month's time.
As Captain I will be away more this year playing golf, so I decided it was time to renew my electric trolley. My thanks go to my Motocaddy rep who advised me to go for the S1 DHC ( Down Hill Control ) version, and after using it last week around St Enodoc, I have to say it's amazing.
No more holding on to the trolley for dear life while trying to manoeuvre it downhill - just keep the trolley to a sensible speed and it holds that speed going downhill. So after such a great first round I have also decided to renew the hire models for this year and it's DHC across the board, so no problem if you would like to give it a go before purchasing one.

New Equipment
New equipment is arriving daily now and this week so far we have received the brand new Cobra F7 Drivers, Fairway Woods and Hybrids. Cobra this year have an amazing bit of technology in the grip of the driver, with an Arccos Unit / App which records the shot details during your round and then while you're sitting with your mates in the bar, you can analyse your stats.
This is all recorded to your mobile phone (the only stipulation is that you have to keep it in your front pocket). That shouldn't be an issue as most of us now carry mobile phones while on the course, although they can't be used unless it's an emergency !

Also in this week we had a delivery of Cleveland Putters, these come in two different models, the Huntington Beach range and the TFi model. Click here to find out more.
If you are thinking of a new putter for this season due to your old one not holing enough putts, then pop along on Saturday morning to try them out.
I will be running FREE OF CHARGE trial sessions from 10.00am onwards for 90 minutes, and you'll also get a few tips to help you out on the greens.
Please ring the shop if the weather is not great and we will advise you of another date and time.
Click and Collect
If you go through the season and need a golfing purchase that we don't currently have in stock, then remember you can try the Click and Collect section on the shop website.

Golf Lessons
Plenty of members are taking advantage of the 2 x 30 minute lessons for £29.50, although over the past week the weather has beaten us, now bookings for the next couple of weeks are filling up quick.
So if you need that top up on your game, then give us a shout.
