Im tames the bear

Sung-jae Im mastered the Bear Trap on Sunday to claim his maiden PGA Tour title with a one-shot victory at the Honda Classic. Both Tommy Fleetwood and Mackenzie Hughes were attempting to chase the South Korean down but Im played what is widely regarded as the hardest three holes on the PGA Tour (15 through 17 on the Champion Course – Palm Beach Gardens) in 2-under to open up a one-shot cushion he wouldn’t relinquish coming up the 18th.

The art of putting

‘Drive for show, putt for dough’. No doubt you have heard this one a few times before but considering putting equates to between 30 to 50% of our shots on the course, it also has a large element of truth in it.

The whole puzzle

If you're considering buying new irons this year, have a think about how they are going to blend into the rest of your set. The idea is to have equal yardage gaps between each club in your bag so, if you are going to treat yourself, it might be worth replacing a long iron with a hybrid that is easier to hit.

Cobra Speedzone hybrids

Take danger out of play

The illustration here is a good example of where a hybrid comes in handy. When our driver brings danger into play and a long-iron leaves us too far to the green, a hybrid is the perfect option.

One hybrid that we particularly like is Cobra’s Speedzone. You can see in the image below that it has Baffler rails on the sole, which helps to improve your interaction with the turf for better and more consistent strikes. Call us on 01326 311262 if you fancy trying it out.
